Software and communication tools integrated in the workstations bring IVF to the digital age.
CellCura Morphology and image capture software enables the embryologist to easily and quickly document the internal architecture of oocytes and embryos at various stages of their development using measurements and standard scoring parameters. These “actual size” measurements allow further analysis to be carried out on the image even after the oocyte or embryo has been returned to the safety of the incubator, which reduces time spent outside the incubator. All data is collected and stored along with patient cycle information, enabling easy retrieval and analysis of data and images. Further analysis of stored information can easily be carried out by exporting data to Exel or to popular statistical tools such as SPSS or SAS.
- Integrated software for easy recording and documentation of all IVF procedures.
- Powerful image capture functionality allows easy identification of specific structures such as pro nuclei, blastomeres, nuclei, nucleoli, zona pellucida, polar bodies and fragmented areas.
- Unique Z-Stack functionality allows the user to view a 3D image of the cell, whilst live biological material is kept safe inside the incubator.
- Easy export of data to Excel or major statistical packages for further analysis
The computers in each Module are connected via a network and all information is collected and centrally stored in a secure database for later analysis. Each patient is tracked throughout the entire procedure providing a complete record of images, analysis, scoring and temperature plus media and disposables used at each stage of the procedure from gamete collection to embryo replacement.
All records can be synchronised with existing databases and copied to the central LIMS system, backed up on DVD and archived to meet regulatory requirements. All utensils used in the procedure are tracked and recorded against patient name using the barcode reader. Mixing patient dishes or use of the wrong utensils or media batch is automatically recognised by the CellCura TM track and trace system, avoiding critcial operator mistakes.
The process data is stored and linked to the patient records. This capability allows the evaluation of all processes for either a single patient or comparison between patients, providing a powerful tool for process improvement, training and supplier evaluation.
